BIMP-EAGA has vast land and marine resources, which allows it to produce year-round a wide range of food, agriculture and industrial crops, livestock and poultry, and aquaculture and marine products. EAGA also offers the diverse land- and water-based tourist attractions that can parallel the world’s best. In recognition of the potential of its natural resources, the BIMP-EAGA agreed to adopt the strategic direction to establish BIMP-EAGA as a food basket for ASEAN and the rest of Asia and a premier ecotourism destination.
