| CATEGORY: NATURAL RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT SOURCE: Asian Productivity Organization (APO)
The proposed project would like to address the lack of holistic approach in waste management and the lack of knowledge and information on eco-circulation society, as an approach to handling the waste management issues – especially biomass waste. The project would facilitate capacity building and training of relevant stakeholders in introducing and achieving an eco-circulation society in the BIMP-EAGA region. This would also include planning meetings to develop regional plans and programs to use biomass waste for eco-business development, waste-to-energy projects, and benefiting from carbon markets. Special assistance needs to be provided for local government units in the BIMP-EAGA region as one of the most important stakeholders. |
